We spent a few days in Germany this month and had an incredible time! I was worried about the time of year, and that it might be too cold to be enjoyable, but it actually couldn't have been better! The fall leaves were absolutely amazing, there was a fog over everything that made it seem magical, and we even had some warm, sunny days!
We visited Neuschwanstein Castle on the first day, and loved everything about it. It had such a different look than the castles we see in England, and the view from the top of the hill was breathtaking. We stayed in Garmisch and the drive through the countryside from the aiport to our hotel was beautiful in every direction.

We stayed right at the base of the Alps, and one day we went up to the peak of Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany. We rode a train up the mountain, and then took a cable car up to the summit. We could see for miles and miles and even though it was pretty cold up there, it felt so good to feel the sun and be above the fog!
Visiting the alps was such an incredible experience that I will never forget! We descended back down the mountain into the fog, and headed back to our hotel.
The location was so beautiful, we only wish we could have stayed longer and seen more of Germany! But what we did see was pretty perfect!
