December - Merry Christmas!

This year went by so quickly! We are grateful for all our blessings this year and all the wonderful experiences we had and memories we made. We are looking forward to some good quality family time this Christmas break. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

November

I can't believe that November has come and gone! We got to spend a lovely couple of days together in San Diego, walking along the beach, visiting the temple grounds, and enjoying Sea World! It was the perfect break from house projects and work and school, and we had such a great time!

And for the first time in 10 years, we got to spend Thanksgiving in Utah with our family! We were so excited to meet our new niece and see lots of cousins and eat lots of delicious food. We even got to see some snow the morning that we left.

We headed back to Las Vegas and back to work and responsibilities and activities. November was a pretty great month, and we can't wait for all the fun things coming up in December!

Home

We have been in our home for almost three months now, and we are loving it! We have put so much work into fixing it up and making it look nice. Here are a few before, during, and after pictures of everything we have done so far!

Our parents helped us so much, and Matthew and Anna have jumped in to help lots of times, too. The hardest part was taking out the tile in the dining area and kitchen. But the wood floor throughout the whole downstairs really helps to make it feel more open. We painted everything a fresh coat of white and it feels so light and airy! The kid's rooms got done this month, and they are loving feeling settled in their own spaces.


There is still a long list of things to do, but most of the big stuff is done and we are enjoying settling in to our new home!

Las Vegas

We have been in Las Vegas for a few months now! We are so happy to be settling in, getting to know our area, making friends, and enjoying our new house. The weather is starting to cool down and our boxes are all unpacked and we've even had our first visitors.

Matthew and Anna love their new school, and Joseph is enjoying his job. We have been busy almost every minute with fixing up our house, but we have found some time here and there to get out and explore and do some fun things.

The kids started Tae Kwan Do classes and joined the school choir. I have been running with friends and got a book club going and can mostly get around without looking at a map. My sister and her family came to visit one weekend and we had so much fun sharing our home and showing them around!

We are getting used to the beauty of the desert and are excited to get out and explore more now that the weather is nice! Our house is looking so good, even though we still have a million things on our to-do list. I'll share more home updates later!

We are so happy to be here and we are thankful for the kind people who have welcomed us and helped us out. It feels good to be getting settled in and making it feel like home!
